Sweetish Sister was born from a lifelong love of beautiful things.

I’ve always had an eye for details… color, texture, packaging, presentation. A well-styled table, a perfectly wrapped gift, a thoughtfully curated space. Building a brand was never a question of if — only when. I’ve always known I wanted to create something of my own.

As a first-generation American raised by Persian parents, entrepreneurship runs deep in my roots. I grew up watching my parents build, hustle, and create opportunity. That spirit shaped me. It taught me that you can take something you love and turn it into something meaningful — something that brings people together.

For me, that “something” was candy.

My mom grew up in London and would bring home the most delicious European sweets. We didn’t grow up on overly processed candy — we grew up on the good stuff. Clean ingredients. Real flavors. The kind of candy that feels nostalgic, special, and just a little magical.

About eight years ago, I walked into BonBon in New York and instantly fell in love. The colors. The bins. The joy. I started making multiple trips a year just to stock up on Swedish candy. It wasn’t just about the taste — it was the entire experience.

That’s when it clicked.

Swedish candy isn’t just candy. It’s design. It’s quality. It’s tradition. It’s community.

Sweetish Sister was created to bring that feeling home, to share the magic of European candy in a way that feels elevated, beautiful, and thoughtful. From our signature butter yellow striped cart, to every perfectly packed bag,
every detail matters.

Community has always come naturally to me. I love people. I love conversation. I love creating spaces where strangers become friends. Watching people follow our cart, light up when they see the bins, bring their friends back for “just one more scoop” — that’s the heart of this brand.

And one of my favorite parts? Building it alongside my daughter. At 16, she’s my employee, my behind-the-scenes helper, and my biggest supporter. Creating something she can witness and grow with is more meaningful than I could have imagined.

What started as a love for beautiful candy has grown into something so much bigger. Brands and boutiques we’ve admired have welcomed us. Communities have embraced us. Collaborations have turned into friendships.

Sweetish Sister is more than candy.

It’s nostalgia.

It’s aesthetic.

It’s entrepreneurship.

It’s family.

It’s European quality wrapped in a pastel bow.

And we’re just getting started.
